Getting the most out of GeoZones

We’ve got some top tips to help you get the most out of your GeoZones.

Strategic placement

It’s easy to create a GeoZone over your premises, but did you know you can also create one in a nearby highly-trafficked area such as a train station or shopping mall? That way you will notify more customers and have a chance of getting more taps.

Make your message stand out

When customers get your notification, they will see the Title and Sub-title that you entered for the target, so you need that text to make sense and look appealing.

Put in an offer, or a clear call to action, to encourage customers to tap and read more. Don’t just put something like: ‘We are a coffee shop in Frankfurt’. Include an offer or an incentive such as: ‘Today Only! Visit our café and get 20% off all our coffees!’.

Also, don’t write too much – the title and the sub-title will cut off after two lines, so try and keep your text short and punchy.

Tip: Engagement notifications support emojis, so think about using those wisely to enhance your messaging.

Finally, remember that your message will also appear in a long list with others in the ‘In the Area’ list in the app, so make sure you don’t get lost in the mix.

Keep it Fresh

Did you know you can change the notification that appears for a GeoZone whenever you want. Use the ‘Change Target’ option on the dashboard to change it up every week or even every day to keep customers engaged and encourage repeat business.

Active Hours

Don’t forget to set your ‘Active Hours’ for a GeoZone. This will stop notifications appearing to customers when your store is closed.
